The rules, without the trapdoor.

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern your use of the PetShimmy website and video creation service. “PetShimmy,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Jake Rogers trading as PetShimmy, a sole trader. Our serviceable business address is Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6FA, United Kingdom. By placing an order, uploading media, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our linked policies.

You must be at least 18, have reached the legal age of majority where you live, be legally able to enter a contract, and provide accurate order information. If you use PetShimmy for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.

2. What PetShimmy provides

PetShimmy uses one customer-supplied pet photo to create one AI-generated video. You choose from the vetted performances shown in the creator: a 6-second Single Shimmy for £3.99 GBP, a continuous 12-second Extended Shimmy for £5.99 GBP, or the complete 16-second Full Rant for £6.99 GBP. Supported locations receive a rounded local-currency price. Every format is a portrait HD video charged once. Extended Shimmy is not the same 6-second segment repeated. Full Rant is available with the “Don’t Grab Me” performance and its explicit 18+ voiceover.

Each available performance pairs a prepared motion reference with selected matching audio that PetShimmy is authorised to include as part of the completed video. The AI adapts the selected motion to your pet, and PetShimmy syncs the matching music or voiceover. The service does not accept user-uploaded audio or offer a replacement-audio request.

The website shows the fixed, tax-inclusive one-time price selected for your location. Stripe Checkout displays the same currency and exact total before payment. Where PetShimmy has no fixed local price, the GBP catalogue price is shown instead; your bank may apply its own exchange rate or fees.

3. Orders and payment

You authorise the displayed one-time charge when you submit checkout. Eligible purchases are sold through Onelink using Stripe Managed Payments, with Onelink acting as merchant of record for the transaction. Stripe and Onelink handle payment processing, applicable transaction taxes, fraud and dispute management, and transaction-level payment support. PetShimmy remains responsible for creating, delivering, and supporting the digital video. An order is accepted when payment is confirmed and PetShimmy makes the generation available to process.

We may reject or refund an order if we cannot safely or lawfully process it, the service is unavailable, the upload does not meet technical requirements, or we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse. The displayed checkout total includes the transaction taxes Managed Payments calculates for the billing location.

When you ask us to begin creating the digital video immediately after payment, you acknowledge that a statutory change-of-mind cancellation right may be lost once supply begins. This does not limit any right or remedy for digital content that is faulty, misdescribed, or otherwise protected by applicable law.

4. Your photo and permissions

You keep your rights in the photo you upload. You grant PetShimmy a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transform, send to our contracted generation providers, and otherwise process the photo only as needed to provide, secure, support, and comply with law for the service.

The customer upload is a pet photo only. Do not upload music, audio, or a video as part of an order. PetShimmy supplies the included music or voiceover with the selected performance and does not use customer audio to create it.

You confirm that:

• you own the photo or have permission to use it;
• processing it does not violate another person’s privacy, intellectual-property, publicity, or other rights;
• the upload is not illegal, abusive, deceptive, or designed to harm a person or animal; and
• you will not use PetShimmy to create impersonation, sexual, violent, hateful, or exploitative content.

Do not upload a photograph that prominently identifies a person, especially a child, unless you have the authority and a lawful reason to do so.

5. AI-generated results

Generative video is probabilistic. A result may vary from the source photo or your expectations. PetShimmy aims to keep one pet broadly recognizable while giving them the selected reference dance, but motion retargeting, timing, pose, expression, fur, markings, background details, paws, limbs, and anatomy can vary or become stylized. We do not promise an exact pose, anatomical match, or frame-by-frame identity match.

You may download and share your completed PetShimmy for lawful personal, non-commercial use. The completed file includes the licensed music or voiceover selected with the performance. That audio remains owned by its rightsholder and is licensed only as part of the completed PetShimmy: you must not extract, redistribute, resell, remix, or use it separately, or use the completed video in advertising or another commercial campaign without any additional permission required for that use. Third-party platforms apply their own audio and availability rules, and may restrict or mute a lawful upload. Rights in AI-generated material can vary by country, and we do not promise that an output is eligible for copyright or exclusive to you.

PetShimmy does not reuse uploads or generated videos to train our own AI models without separate, affirmative consent. Generation still requires transient processing by Replicate and DreamActor under their provider terms. See our Privacy Policy.

6. Technical failures and delivery quality

A failed, missing, inaccessible, or corrupted technical render does not count as delivery. We may rerun or repair that job without another charge.

Every finished video must pass automated file-integrity, paid duration, portrait-format, codec, and audio checks before it is delivered automatically. AI stylisation and creative variation can remain in a technically complete result. If delivered digital content is faulty or misdescribed, contact us with the order reference; the remedies described in our Refund Policy and any mandatory consumer rights apply.

7. Delivery, access, and deletion

We send a secure result link to the email used for the order. Generation time can vary. You are responsible for giving us a usable email address, keeping the result link private, and downloading the video before media deletion.

An unpaid, abandoned upload becomes eligible for automatic deletion after 24 hours. Source photos and generated media for a paid video become eligible after 30 days. Our deletion job runs hourly and retries temporary storage failures. PetShimmy is not a permanent media-storage service.

8. Gifts

A PetShimmy bought as a gift is still a normal one-time video purchase, not cash, a credit, a deposit account, or a subscription. The purchaser must own or have permission to use the supplied photo and is responsible for sharing the downloaded result lawfully.

Refunds for gifts return to the original payment method unless applicable law requires otherwise. Gift media follows the same privacy and deletion rules as any other order.

9. Acceptable use and service protection

You must not:

• interfere with the service, bypass access controls, or probe for another person’s media;
• automate excessive requests, resell access without permission, or abuse refund or support systems;
• submit malware, malicious files, or content intended to exploit a provider; or
• use an output to deceive, harass, defame, or violate law or third-party rights.

We may pause or block an upload, order, result link, or user if reasonably necessary to protect people, media, payments, or the service. Where appropriate, we will explain the action and any available remedy.

10. Warranties and liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, PetShimmy is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, exact creative results, or compatibility with every device or social platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetShimmy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss caused by your unlawful upload, public sharing of a private link, failure to download before deletion, or a third-party platform.

Where a liability cap is permitted, our total liability arising from an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order. This cap does not apply where applicable law prohibits it.

11. Changes, law, and contact

We may update these Terms for future use of the service. The date at the top identifies the current version. A change does not remove mandatory consumer rights or retroactively change an accepted order where law does not allow that.

These Terms are governed by the law applicable to PetShimmy’s operation and your transaction, without depriving you of mandatory protections available where you live. Before starting a formal claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue.
