What customers usually need to know.
These answers describe the live PetShimmy product. More detailed contractual wording remains in the linked policies.
Is PetShimmy a subscription?
No. Single Shimmy costs $5.49 once, Extended Shimmy costs $8.49 once, and Full Rant costs $9.49 once. None starts a trial, subscription, automatic renewal, or recurring charge.
What does PetShimmy make?
PetShimmy turns one clear pet photo into a portrait AI performance video. Choose a 6-second Single Shimmy, a continuous 12-second Extended Shimmy, or the complete 16-second Full Rant. The finished MP4 includes the matching music or voiceover for that performance.
Where is PetShimmy available?
PetShimmy checkout is available in countries eligible for Stripe Managed Payments. Your exact tax-inclusive total in the shown currency appears before payment.
Can I choose a dance or upload a song?
You can choose from the performances shown in the creator. Each one comes with prepared matching audio—music for the dances or an explicit voiceover for Full Rant—which PetShimmy syncs to the finished video. You cannot upload or swap the audio.
Is the 12-second option just a loop?
No. Extended Shimmy is prepared as one continuous 12-second dance-and-soundtrack cut, not the same 6 seconds repeated.
What makes a good pet photo?
Use one clear, well-lit portrait photo with your pet’s full face and body visible. Avoid landscape or square images, hands covering the pet, heavy blur, or several pets in the same image.
Which photo files can I upload?
PetShimmy accepts portrait JPEG, PNG, and WebP photos up to 15 MB. Both image edges must be at least 480 pixels, and the height must be greater than the width.
Can I use a photo with more than one pet?
PetShimmy is designed to animate one pet from one photo. Use an image containing a single animal so the AI has one clear subject to follow.
What if the result comes out wrong?
Technical failures do not count as delivery. Every finished video must pass automated file, duration, portrait-format, and audio checks before release. If PetShimmy cannot complete the purchased service, contact support for the applicable repair or refund without limiting mandatory consumer rights.
What happens to my pet photo and video?
Your photo and generated video stay private and are scheduled for deletion from PetShimmy after 30 days. You can also delete them sooner after processing. Abandoned uploads become eligible for deletion after 24 hours.
Does PetShimmy train an AI model on my photo?
PetShimmy does not reuse your uploaded photo or generated video to train, fine-tune, or build its own AI model unless you first give separate, affirmative consent for that specific use. Generation still requires temporary processing by the providers identified in the Privacy Policy.
Does the finished video have a watermark?
No. The downloadable PetShimmy MP4 does not include a PetShimmy watermark.
Are the videos on the examples page real outputs?
Yes. The six public previews are genuine AI-generated pet outputs: five six-second orange-cat dance examples and one complete 16-second orange-cat Full Rant example with an explicit voiceover. They are product examples, not customer reviews or testimonials.
Still unsure? Email support@petshimmy.app or use the contact page. Do not email a full card number, password, or pet photo unless support provides an appropriate route.
See the product, not a promise
Watch the genuine AI pet outputs.
The examples use one orange cat across five dances and the complete Full Rant so you can compare performances instead of comparing different pets.
